Kantha is the embroidery style from the Bolpur-Santiniketan regions of Bengal . The kantha work, characterized by the ‘running stitch’ is always done by hand, usually by women, and the elaborateness and intricacy of the embroidered patterns indicate how ‘heavy’ or ‘light’ the saree is.

This saree is made of pure tussur silk . The saree is dyed in dusty pink colour and has been filled with village and palm tree motifs.

Saree comes with blouse piece work on hands .
